I agree that Sarah Palin raises a ton of issues for feminists. We think women should have the same opportunities as men but in the backs of our minds we nevertheless question a mother of five with a young baby taking on the VP candidacy. Then we can beat ourselves up for having a double standard for men and women. I guess we all need to learn how to ask the questions we feel we need to ask in a way that would be fair to a candidate whether male or female.

I want to talk about this Sarah Palin! I feel so conflicted about her as a VP choice. She cuts to the core of the problems women have when they try to have it all. In her shoes I don't see how she can run for VP with all she has going on in her life. Perhaps her husband is picking up the slack. Doesn't having 5 kids limit, at least for a time, what you do as an occupation?
