I was asked to provide “reporter on the spot” tweets of Lilly Ledbetter and Rep. Rosa DeLauro’s (D-CT) speeches during the 2009 AAUW National Convention. I thought it might be fun here to repeat the tweets (messages) of these two great ladies, abbreviated words and all. If you are not on Twitter yet, get on it — there’s a whole lot of history being recorded by this new communication tool. (If you are on Twitter, use #AAUW09 to follow all tweets.)

Thanks Hollie, so glad you had a great time at Convention and are making plans for 2011. Love your pride!
Thanks for the tweets, but nothing could take the place of being there in person. Convention 2009 was phenomenal! Start making plans to attend Convention 2011 in Washington, DC. I am proud to be an AAUW member, to be part of a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so all women have a fair chance.
