Marline, thank you for sharing your deeply powerful and moving comment. Personal experiences are welcome on the blog as they add to the depth and meaning of the conversation. To be honest, I worry about my own situation in the years to come. Long term care insurance will help, but there is so much for which to plan. I appreciate your making such a valuable contribution to this blog and am particularly delighted that you are blogging with AAUW!

I am 83.

I have been a caregiver for my Son, who was mentally diabled and is now deceased, my mother, now deceased, and now my husband who had 2 stokes and is partially paralized.

I don't know who will be one for me.

We do have long term care insurane for which I am grateful.

It still puts a lot on me, as my husband is not able to even drive anymore.

It is a blessing to be able to have loved ones near and be able to help them. I am grateful that my health still allows me to do things for them
