Sharvell Becton joined the staff at AAUW in August 2008 as the program officer for the American and International Fellowships Programs. Her professional background includes a wealth of experience, from program design and group facilitation with the Advocacy Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Communities, to managing funder and donor relationships with a community foundation, to creating collaborative partnerships as a director of education with a Planned Parenthood affiliate. An amateur food culturist, she has travelled widely and enjoys experiencing the “salad bowl” of cultures through food and the arts.
